The aim was to develop an elegant coat rack through simple joinery that functions and behaves comfortably.

Joinery
The coat rack joins together in nine separate regions. Dowels merge the pieces together filling in holes created by a domino tool. All sides are symmetrical to one another, allowing for a fast and easy assembly.
Milling
A 3-axis mill was used to shape the coat rack. Due to the pieces double curved surfaces, a process of flip-milling was implemented. This is the process where the CNC mills one side of the material stock and then the other.
Miltiped - Any organism that has many feet.
